The flash flood and landslide situation in Nepal remains concerning. Rescue teams are urgently searching for hundreds of missing people, including at least 468 foreigners, with the highest numbers missing among Italians and Indians.

Search and rescue efforts are difficult due to weather conditions and communication failures. Among the missing foreigners are at least 133 Indians who had traveled as pilgrims to Mount Kailash in China's Tibet Autonomous Region, a sacred site for Hindus.
Furthermore, according to Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at least 90 Italians remain uncontactable in the disaster area. Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that at least 53 Ukrainians are missing, including a group of 46 Ukrainian tourists who have lost communication, as informed by Nepalese authorities.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of State stated it is aware of American citizens affected by the flooding and is closely monitoring the situation. At least 47 Americans remain missing. South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported at least 9 missing South Koreans. Additionally, at least 4 Russians have lost contact with the Russian Embassy in Nepal, with authorities actively conducting search and rescue operations.
Reports also indicate that 2 Portuguese and at least 3 Belgians are uncontactable. Rescue teams continue to urgently search for missing persons and survivors amid heavy rain, severe weather conditions, and damaged communication infrastructure in the affected areas.
