Reports state that MAGMA Indonesia, the volcanic monitoring agency, revealed lava fountains erupting above the crater while ash clouds rose approximately 400 meters high.
Indonesian authorities have maintained a volcanic alert at level 3 and set a 3-kilometer exclusion zone around the crater for public safety. Meanwhile, Japan Meteorological Agency continues to monitor the situation to assess whether the volcanic eruption could trigger tsunamis affecting Japan.
