"Igo Ubiribo," also known as "Tiny," a 43-year-old British-Nigerian businessman and influencer, died suddenly while vacationing in Thailand. An autopsy revealed the cause of death as a pulmonary embolism following a hyaluronic acid injection for penile enlargement at a clinic in Bangkok.
"Igo Ubiribo," or "Tiny," a British-Nigerian businessman and influencer aged 43, died in Thailand after receiving a filler injection to enlarge his penis while vacationing with his wife. The Inner West London coroner's court in England determined the procedure was linked to pulmonary embolism, which caused his death.
Ubiribo received a combined 40 milliliters of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injections at a clinic in Thailand in March 2026 while staying at a Bangkok hotel with his wife, renowned fashion designer Danielle Simba Allen. After the procedure, the couple went for a massage, during which Ubiribo began experiencing chest pain and lost consciousness twice before being taken by ambulance to hospital, initially still able to respond to doctors.
His wife informed doctors that Ubiribo had recently received a filler injection. Medical staff recommended a CT scan, but before it could be performed, he lost consciousness again.
Doctors diagnosed Ubiribo with a pulmonary embolism caused by blood clots or other material blocking blood vessels in the lungs. He was admitted to the intensive care unit. Despite over 100 minutes of resuscitation efforts, he could not be saved and died in the early morning of 6 March 2026.
A UK autopsy detected residual molecules in his lungs consistent with hyaluronic acid from the prior filler injections. Coroner Jean Harkin ruled that Ubiribo’s death was due to pulmonary embolism caused by the procedure.
Doctors at the Bangkok hospital reported that the deceased fainted twice during the massage and had received a 40-milliliter penile filler injection the same day. His London-based doctor added that Ubiribo had a history of joint surgery, prediabetes, and gout but no other significant health issues.
Ubiribo was known for showcasing a luxurious lifestyle on social media, with about 185,000 Instagram followers. He owned a home valued at approximately 1.1 million USD in Crenshaw, Los Angeles, and an apartment worth about 600,000 USD in London.
He married Danielle in an extravagant ceremony in Zimbabwe in 2022. After his death, his body was buried in London in a reportedly gold coffin valued at over 745,000 USD. Funeral guests included Davido, a famous Nigerian Afrobeat singer and childhood friend, and Cubana Chief Priest, a notable figure in Nigerian entertainment.
At the funeral, Davido said losing Ubiribo was hard to accept, describing him as a powerful and highly distinctive presence, making his absence feel heavy and unreal.
Hyaluronic acid injections for penile enlargement can cost up to around 9,000 USD, with effects typically lasting 6 to 9 months. However, urology specialists in England warn the procedure carries a high risk of severe, potentially fatal complications.
Ubiribo’s case highlights the dangers of cosmetic procedures, especially injections in areas prone to serious complications.
