A Tudor-style house in Queens, New York City, where President Donald Trump lived during his childhood, has sold for $1.93 million, approximately 63.8 million baht, after the latest owner invested $500,000 to renovate the previously dilapidated house, which had suffered water damage, mold, and was inhabited by a large number of feral cats.

The house is located in the Jamaica Estates neighborhood of Queens, New York City. It is a Tudor-style home with five bedrooms and three bathrooms, built in 1940 by Fred Trump, real estate developer and Donald Trump's father.
Trump lived in this house until he was about four years old before the family moved out. The property has not been owned by the Trump family for many years.
The latest sale price of $1.93 million appeared on real estate websites on Friday after the unnamed buyer signed a purchase agreement back in July.
Tommy Lin, a property developer and the most recent owner, bought the house last year for $835,000 after it had been vacant and neglected for several years. Reports indicated the house was in poor condition, suffering from water and mold damage caused by a broken pipe, and had become home to many feral cats.
Lin spent an additional $500,000 and about eight months renovating the entire interior, adding amenities such as a chef’s kitchen, herringbone wood floors, and bathrooms designed to evoke a spa-like atmosphere.
Lin described his renovation efforts as aiming to make the house "great again," a play on Trump's famous political slogan. The house has changed hands several times over the years; in 2017, just months after Trump became U.S. president, it sold for $2.14 million to a company named Trump Birth Home.
While owned by that company, the house was rented out on Airbnb and decorated with Trump memorabilia, including a life-sized cardboard cutout, copies of The Art of the Deal, and People magazine covers featuring Trump. In 2019, the house was listed again for $2.9 million but failed to sell and eventually fell into disrepair before Lin purchased it last year.
This latest sale marks the house's return to the real estate market following extensive renovations, with the $1.93 million price significantly below the 2019 asking price.
Trump, now 80 years old, built his fortune through real estate, notably developing Trump Tower in Manhattan, where he lived for decades before leveraging his fame and wealth into a political career culminating in his presidency.
Currently, Trump remains involved in federal property renovations, including a project at the White House to build a large banquet hall and redecorate the Oval Office with gold-colored materials and furnishings, reflecting his distinctive taste.
Trump’s relationship with New York City, where he grew up, remains politically complex. During a New York mayoral campaign, Trump harshly criticized candidate Sohrab Mamdani and threatened to cut federal funding to the city, though his stance softened after meeting Mamdani in 2025, with Trump stating he would be pleased if Mamdani manages the city well.
Recently, Trump did not attend the 9/11 memorial ceremony at Ground Zero in New York City but instead participated in the event at the Pentagon memorial.
