Faisal Mohammed Ali, head of civil defense operations in Aleppo, stated that the explosions were heard several kilometers away. Multiple ambulances and fire trucks rushed to the scene. Rescue teams evacuated four injured individuals, but ongoing blasts prevented full access to the area. Authorities warned the public to avoid approaching the site.
Meanwhile, the governor of Aleppo urged residents to stay indoors during this time. He noted that hospitals, ambulances, and emergency teams are fully prepared. Security forces in Aleppo have closed roads leading to the explosion site to ensure public safety.
This explosion comes amid a series of blasts at ammunition depots and military sites in Syria in recent weeks. On 18 September, an explosion at a military facility in Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria resulted in 11 deaths.
