Trump Publicly Supports Netanyahu in Israeli Election, Urges Vote to Complete Major Mission in Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump has once again officially reaffirmed his support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of Israel's major election set for October 27. Trump urged Israelis to vote for Netanyahu to return to office, emphasizing the necessity for both countries to continue military operations to "complete the major mission" in dealing with Iran.

Donald Trump posted on the Truth Social platform reaffirming his support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s re-election. He stated that they share a strong relationship and have successfully cooperated in military operations against Iran, urging Israelis to vote for Netanyahu in the October 27 election, saying, "We must finish the mission we started."

Trump claimed that U.S. and Israeli military actions have caused Iran to lose its navy and air force, while its army and economy have suffered severely. He also cited Iran’s inflation rate at 301% and maritime blockades hindering the country’s oil exports. However, these figures and statements were provided solely by Trump himself.

Earlier, on October 18, Trump released a letter supporting Netanyahu, praising him as a strong leader and a key partner in confronting Iran. He warned that if Israel elects a different leader, the U.S. might have to carry out the mission alone.

This development comes ahead of the Israeli election amid multiple opinion polls indicating that Netanyahu’s allied bloc lacks sufficient support to hold a parliamentary majority. Meanwhile, opponents respect Trump but assert that choosing the leader is Israel’s people's right.

Netanyahu released AI-generated images depicting a nuclear-like explosion over Tel Aviv, warning that if Israel misses the chance to confront Iran while Trump is still in office, its citizens may face severe future threats. However, he previously stated that joint U.S.-Israeli attacks have already caused significant damage to Iran’s nuclear program.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that Aviv Kochavi, Israel’s Chief of Staff, opposed some military operation orders that Netanyahu wants to execute, calling for further discussions and legal authority documentation. Specific details of these plans have not been disclosed.

Previously, reports indicated that the U.S. and Israel planned another attack on Iran after the U.S. midterm elections on November 3. The U.S. government stated it would not attack Iran before the election. Diplomatic negotiations to resolve the conflict remain stagnant, with ongoing efforts to ease regional tensions.
