Ms. Mallika Chirapantavanich, Deputy Minister of Transport, stated that in line with the government's policy to accelerate economic recovery and reduce living costs for the people, the Ministry of Transport, under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, recognizes the importance of travel expenses as a daily life cost for everyone. Therefore, the Department of Land Transport has been assigned to fully implement the “Khon La Khrueng Plus” project in the public transport sector. In support of the government's economic stimulus policy, the Department has collaborated with Krungthai Bank to set up registration booths within the Department of Land Transport. This facilitates public transport operators—including taxi drivers, van service operators, three-wheel taxis, local bus services, and motorcycle taxis—to register for the program easily, conveniently, and quickly while attending to official business.
Mr. Sorapong Phaitoonpong, Director-General of the Department of Land Transport (DLT), revealed that following the government's economic stimulus measure through the “Khon La Khrueng Plus” project to generate income and reduce expenses for the public, Krungthai Bank, as the primary registration channel, has cooperated to establish dedicated registration service points for public transport operators. This aims to maximize convenience for transport operators. The bank and the DLT have jointly set up registration service points inside the Department of Land Transport, Building 6, 1st floor, every Thursday and Friday from 27 November 2025 until the closing date for operator registration on 19 December 2025. This enables operators who are already visiting the Department for vehicle registration or tax matters to register for the program immediately at a single location (One Stop Service), avoiding the need to travel to bank branches.
Participation in the “Khon La Khrueng Plus” program will greatly benefit public transport operators by increasing their income opportunities and reducing costs for passengers, in line with government policy.
