TCAS69 Exam Postponed for TGAT/TPAT 2-5 in Flood-Affected Southern Areas Songkhla, Yala, Narathiwat to 17-19 Jan 2026

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation and the Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT) have adjusted the TCAS69 calendar, postponing TGAT/TPAT exams in severely flood-affected southern provinces Songkhla, Yala, and Narathiwat to 17-19 January 2026. Nearby provinces Pattani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Surat Thani, and Satun may submit exam postponement requests between 5-8 December 2025.

Today (2 Dec 2025), Mr. Surasak Pancharoenworakul, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, and Prof. Dr. Wiles Phurivat, President of Chulalongkorn University and Chair of the Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT), held a joint press conference announcing the postponement of TGAT and TPAT 2-5 exams in flood-affected areas in the southern region.

Mr. Surasak stated that due to the severe flooding in several southern provinces, which has widely impacted daily life, transportation, and public safety, students and test takers in those areas are directly affected. Many cannot travel to exam venues as usual or are unprepared physically and mentally. To ensure the TGAT and TPAT 2-5 exams under TCAS69 proceed smoothly, fairly, and based on equal opportunity for all candidates, the Ministry and CUPT have deemed it necessary to implement urgent measures to postpone exams in the affected southern provinces.

Prof. Dr. Wiles said the confirmed exam postponements cover the entire provinces of Songkhla, Yala, and Narathiwat, rescheduled to 17-19 January 2026. Approximately 19,000 candidates will take exams at their original venues, though some students may be assigned new venues. Students are requested to log into the system to print new exam admission cards starting 5 January 2026. After that date, exam venues will be reassigned but remain within the same province. The TCAS score review and announcement process is expected to complete by 13 February 2026, allowing affected students to submit scores for the portfolio round. Consequently, the TCAS Round 1 portfolio results announcement has been postponed from 6 February 2026 to 4 March 2026.

For nearby provinces including Pattani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Surat Thani, and Satun, students facing difficulties and unable to attend exams as scheduled can register to reschedule their exams in January by submitting proof of necessity, such as photos of flooding or explanatory messages via the system. Registration for this will be open from 5 to 8 December 2025. Once approved to move exam venues, students cannot return to their original exam locations.

The CUPT Chair concluded by affirming that the Ministry and CUPT are committed to finding the best solutions for this situation, managing all aspects comprehensively. The postponement prioritizes affected candidates, ensuring fairness despite exams not being held simultaneously. Although exam sets will differ, standards remain consistent to provide equal opportunity. They stand ready to overcome this crisis together.
