The Aeronautical Radio of Thailand confirms that the situation at the Thai-Cambodian border does not affect flights within Thai airspace. Airlines from around the world continue to operate flights into and out of Thailand as normal.
Mr. Pichet Kunathamrak, Chairman of the Board of the Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Limited (AEROTHAI). He stated that the ongoing clashes at the Thai-Cambodian border have caused concerns, especially among foreigners, about whether this would affect aviation services and air travel to and from Thailand. He reassured that all aviation services remain fully operational and there is no risk from the fighting at the border. The locations of the clashes are far from airports and aviation service points in Thailand, so there is no impact. He urged passengers and airlines to have confidence in the safety and to continue traveling to Thailand as usual. Currently, the top ten countries with the highest number of flights to Thailand are China, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates.
Additionally, AEROTHAI is fully prepared to provide air traffic services during the upcoming New Year festival, a period that will see many foreign tourists and airlines traveling to Thailand to celebrate. The company has arranged for smooth facilitation and air traffic management to avoid congestion and ensure that all Thai airports can provide efficient and swift aviation services.
