
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on academic collaboration to develop practical training curricula aimed at preparing the workforce for the electric vehicle industry and the "Industrial AI Literacy and Application for Non-Technical Student" workshop course. Over 20 leading representatives from government, top private sectors, and universities participated in formalizing this cooperation.
On Thursday, 29 Jan 2026 at 10:30 a.m., the event took place in Kamolthip Room 3, 2nd Floor, The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok. Dr. Panpemsak Arunee, Deputy Permanent Secretary of MHESI, presided over the ceremony. Senior executives from leading technology and automotive companies, as well as university and academic institution leaders from across the country, joined the signing of this academic cooperation MOU covering two main areas:
1. The "Industrial AI Literacy and Application for Non-Technical Student" course This course aims to enhance knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence (AI) for non-technical students, enabling them to effectively apply AI technologies in industrial contexts. The collaboration involves eight organizations, including Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd.. Alibaba Cloud (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Com7 Public Company Limited, TAHUA Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the Thai IoT Association, the National Food Institute, Intel Semiconductor (US) LLC., and Srinakharinwirot University.
2. Practical training curriculum to develop workforce skills for the electric vehicle industry This program focuses on developing personnel with specialized knowledge and skills in electric vehicles to support the growth of Thailand's EV industry. Twelve organizations signed the agreement.They include:

This MOU signing reflects integrated cooperation among government, private sector, and academia to develop curricula that address future industry demands. The goal is to elevate the capabilities of Thai personnel with skills aligned to technological changes, thereby strengthening the country's sustainable competitive edge.
