Ministry of Culture Elevates CPOT to Digital Era, Promotes e-Tax Invoice to Build Trust and Expand Thai Products Globally

The Ministry of Culture is transforming CPOT into the digital era, encouraging entrepreneurs to use the e-Tax Invoice system to establish transparency standards and increase trust among global partners, while organizing intensive training in collaboration with the Revenue Department.

Mr. Prasop Riang-ngern, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, stated that in line with the government's policy to drive the country toward a digital economy to stimulate growth and build the nation's digital infrastructure, the Ministry of Culture sees a key opportunity to support and oversee Cultural Product of Thailand (CPOT) entrepreneurs. This aims to help them keep pace with global business changes, especially by promoting the transition from traditional paper-based systems to digital tax systems following the Revenue Department's standards. This shift not only improves state revenue collection efficiency but is also a “key” to creating transparency, increasing credibility, and enhancing the competitive edge of Thai cultural products on the international stage.

The Permanent Secretary added, “The Ministry of Culture is ready to act as an academic mentor and policy supporter, so entrepreneurs view the digital tax system as an “economic opportunity” that builds confidence among partners and consumers worldwide. This will be a vital driving force for Thai cultural businesses to flourish gracefully in the digital age.”

For this training, the Ministry of Culture arranged expert-led sessions from the Revenue Department to strengthen the capabilities and accurate understanding of CPOT entrepreneurs. The program covers digital tax registration, relevant legal checks, and professional techniques for issuing electronic tax invoices, enabling entrepreneurs to practically apply these skills in their own businesses.

The training attracted widespread interest, with over 500 participants including community representatives and CPOT network entrepreneurs from across the country—covering Bangkok, its metropolitan area, and various regions—joining both on-site and online. This reflects the enthusiasm and readiness of Thai entrepreneurs to enter the digital economy.

“The Ministry of Culture is confident that this intellectual empowerment and entrepreneur support will be a significant step in building a strong cultural business network and preparing to transform Thailand's cultural economy toward tangible prosperity and sustainability,” the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture concluded.
