National Housing Authority and Thailand Post Sign MOU to Upgrade Communication via Digital Mailboxes, Pilot in Din Daeng Community

On 27 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Taweepong Wichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dr. Danan Supatpun, CEO and President of Thailand Post Co., Ltd. The signing ceremony was chaired by Mr. Ratthaphon Phakdeepoom, Chairman of the Board of Thailand Post. Witnesses included Mr. Komsan Pilasombat, Deputy Governor of the National Housing Authority, and Mr. Chawachit Suntornsaratool, Director of Organizational Development for Sustainability. The MOU aims to improve communication efficiency between agencies and service recipients to be more convenient, faster, and secure. The event took place in Solos 1 Room, Phanurangsi Post Office Building, Chaeng Watthana Road, Laksi District, Bangkok.

Mr. Taweepong Wichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, stated that this collaboration elevates communication services for sending and receiving electronic letters between the National Housing Authority and residents.

This is part of the National Housing Authority’s projects, including delivering information conveniently, quickly, securely, and with legal validity through Digital Postboxes under the Prompt Post service of Thailand Post Co., Ltd. This platform, available as a web and mobile application, supports the transition from paper to digital documents, reducing paper use and delivery costs while allowing for audit trails. The pilot will start at Building G in the Din Daeng urban renewal project and will expand to other projects nationwide.

Furthermore, the National Housing Authority and Thailand Post will collaborate on research, knowledge exchange, and technology sharing to support operations, monitor, and evaluate outcomes. They will coordinate and advise on improving Digital Postbox usage to meet residents’ needs efficiently. The National Housing Authority will invite Din Daeng community residents of Building G to register for Digital Postbox use, with plans to expand to other areas.

Dr. Danan Supatpun, CEO and President of Thailand Post Co., Ltd., said, “Thailand Post has leveraged its expertise in national communication infrastructure combined with digital technology and logistics capabilities to develop and support the comprehensive Digital Postbox system. This includes system design, data transmission standards, internal database integration, and testing for stability, security, and readiness to handle large volumes of documents and users efficiently. Digital Postbox is not merely an online document inbox; it is a digital document management feature allowing agencies to send important documents directly to recipients who can open, download, and review them anytime, anywhere via the Prompt Post platform. This collaboration concretely advances the transition from paper to digital, increases speed, and enhances communication efficiency, aligning with the move toward a Digital Organization.”

The National Housing Authority governor added that Thailand Post will design, develop, provide, and support the Digital Postbox system, including system integration for digital document transmission. They will also offer guidance and training to National Housing Authority staff to ensure effective operation, while managing data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and cybersecurity standards.

“This MOU signing marks a significant step for the National Housing Authority in establishing a modern digital communication infrastructure, elevating data management standards.

It ensures security, transparency, and auditability, driving the organization fully into the digital era. It emphasizes the government agency’s image as ready to adapt technology as a core development mechanism, moving toward a stable and sustainable future in public service.”
