March 7: Avoid Muang Thong Toll Plaza Due to Heavy Traffic from Triam Udom Entrance Exam and Major Concert

The Expressway Authority of Thailand advises expressway users to plan their travel in advance on March 7, anticipating heavy traffic at Muang Thong Toll Plaza due to the Triam Udom School entrance exam and events at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.

The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT), Ministry of Transport, announces that expressway users should plan their trips ahead when heading to IMPACT Muang Thong Thani via the Muang Thong Thani toll plaza on the Si Rat Expressway on Saturday, 7 March 2026, from 04:00 to 16:00. This is because Triam Udom Suksa School will hold its entrance examination for Grade 10 for the academic year 2026 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province, from 08:30 to 14:00, with 13,895 candidates registered. Additionally, weekend events and activities are scheduled at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, which is expected to bring a large volume of vehicles into the area. This may cause continuous heavy traffic congestion around the vicinity, including the approach to the Muang Thong Thani toll plaza.

EXAT has prepared to facilitate traffic management by stationing staff at both the inbound and outbound lanes of Muang Thong Thani toll plaza to manage traffic flow and assist expressway users fully.

Moreover, EXAT is collaborating with Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) and IMPACT Muang Thong Thani officials to prepare directional signs, public information boards, and deploy staff at key locations to assist travelers and suggest alternative routes to avoid congestion.

EXAT recommends additional exit options for expressway users heading toIMPACTMuang Thong Thani to use the Chaeng Watthana exit or the Si Saman toll plaza exit (outbound) instead of the Muang Thong Thani toll plaza exit if heavy traffic accumulates on the expressway. Drivers can then use surface roads to loop back into the Muang Thong Thani area. These alternative routes have been prepared and opened to accommodate traffic. Users are advised to plan their trips in advance, allow extra travel time, and closely monitor traffic updates for convenience and safety. For more information, contact the EXAT Call Center at 1543, available 24 hours.
