CAAT Confirms Thai-Europe Flight Routes Remain Operational, Advises Passengers to Check Before Travel

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) updated on the Middle East situation, confirming that Thai-Europe flight routes remain operational by adjusting flight paths to avoid risky areas. Some flights may take longer, so passengers are advised to check their flight schedules with airlines before traveling.

Mr. Sarun Benjanirat, Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), said that due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, CAAT is closely monitoring the situation as it remains uncertain and subject to change at any time. Overall, air travel between Thailand and Europe can continue uninterrupted, especially for flights that do not require transiting in the Middle East, as airlines can adjust routes to use alternative paths.

However, these route adjustments may result in changes to flight durations.CAATtherefore recommends that passengers verify both outbound and return flight times with their airlines before traveling. Currently, some airspace remains closed due to the conflict, but several countries have begun easing restrictions to allow partial resumption of flights. At present, flights to Saudi Arabia and Oman are operating normally, while the United Arab Emirates has resumed limited flight services since midweek.

Emirates has reported to CAAT that it currently operates two daily flights from Dubai to Thailand, down from the usual seven daily flights under normal circumstances, with plans to increase flights next week. Passengers can check flight statuses directly with the airline. Meanwhile, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways have resumed some flights.Dependant on circumstancesPassenger numbers remain limited to specific groups.

Currently, airlines from Kuwait and Bahrain have not resumed normal commercial flight services, but special flights may be arranged on a case-by-case basis. Passengers should monitor airlines for information on travel conditions and restrictions.

Nonetheless,Althoughthe aviation sector in the region shows signs of gradual recovery, the situation still depends on regional security factors that can change at any time. CAAT advises passengers to check flight statuses with airlines before traveling and allow extra time at airports, as some flights may be rerouted resulting in altered travel times.

If passengers experience service issues or feel their rights have not been respected, they can file complaints with CAAT via its website.http://complaint.caat.or.th
