Starting 1 Apr: Bangkok Airways Raises Airfare by 15-20% on Some Routes

Starting 1 April, Bangkok Airways will increase airfares by 15-20% on certain domestic and international routes due to a sharp surge in fuel prices. The airline confirmed that prices remain within the ceiling set by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT). If the situation continues for 2-3 months, prices may be reviewed again.

Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, CEO of Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited, revealed that from 1 April 2026, the airline will raise airfares on some domestic routes by approximately 15-20% following a steep rise in fuel prices. Affected routes include Bangkok to Samui, Phuket, and Chiang Mai. This increase remains within the price ceiling set by the CAAT.

Mr. Puttipong added that certain international routes will see an increase in the Fuel Surcharge by about $50-60 per passenger per trip, equivalent to approximately 1,600-1,900 baht. Affected routes include Bangkok to Maldives, Hong Kong, and Singapore, effective from 1 April 2026.

The company will closely monitor fuel prices. If the situation persists beyond 2-3 months, the airline may need to review prices again, including its revenue targets and passenger numbers for 2026.
