
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society has ordered Thailand Post to freeze all shipping prices until 15 April 2026 to lessen the cost-of-living impact on people during the Songkran festival. This follows rising energy costs due to the Middle East crisis. From 16 April onward, price adjustments will apply only to commercial services EMS and e-CoPost.
The severe situation in the Middle East has driven up transportation costs both domestically and internationally, leading logistics providers to increase shipping fees according to rising expenses. Therefore, Thailand Post will keep shipping prices stable during the current period close to the Songkran festival, when demand is high, until 15 April 2026. After that date, some service fees will be temporarily adjusted from 16 April 2026 onward until the situation normalizes.
From 16 April 2026 onward, Thailand Post will temporarily raise prices on some services due to increased costs.

Meanwhile, basic services such as letters, postal parcels/printed materials, registered mail, and parcels will not have any price increases.
“Given the current situation of rising shipping costs from increased expenses, Minister Chaichonok Chidchob has expressed concern about the potential impact on the public. He has instructed Thailand Post to maintain current shipping prices until 15 April 2026, the period of heightened shipping demand during the festival, to help alleviate public hardship. Any price increases must minimize public impact,” said the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society.
