ThaiBev Joins Forces with the Royal Project to Promote ‘Sufficiency Economy’ and Elevate Community Development

Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (“ThaiBev”) has sought cooperation and support from the Office of the Royal Project Coordination (ORPC) to transfer knowledge and operational guidelines on grassroots economic development based on the philosophy of sufficiency economy. This is aimed at advancing grassroots economic development at the district level through signing a memorandum of understanding on the "District-Level Grassroots Economic Development Project." Over the years, ThaiBev has been committed to continuously developing and strengthening communities by integrating collaboration among government, private sector, and civil society. This effort is driven through the establishment of Ru Rak Samakkhi Social Enterprise (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (formerly Pracharath Rak Samakkhi Social Enterprise (Thailand) Co., Ltd.), operating nationally and in every province. This year, ThaiBev expanded community operations through the "With Loyalty and Devotion" initiative to benefit communities and enhance citizens’ well-being, honoring and remembering the royal benevolence of the King and royal family in the auspicious years 2026-2027.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mrs. Suporn Treenarin, Secretary-General of the Office of the Royal Project Coordination, and Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, who signed the memorandum of understanding. Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Director and Senior Special Advisor to the Chaipattana Foundation, honored the event as a witness. It focuses on applying knowledge and successes from royal projects to fit the specific contexts of each area concretely by providing support and information to areas implementing the district-level grassroots economic development project. The ORPC is ready to support knowledge transfer and training related to royal projects at all six Development Study Centers. This reflects the ORPC’s commitment to continuing, preserving, and advancing royal initiatives to produce tangible results and be a key driving force for Thailand’s stable and sustainable development. She expressed gratitude to Thai Beverage Public Company Limited for playing a vital role in expanding the application of knowledge from royal projects, enhancing community capabilities to compete in today’s economy, and supporting sustainable community development across multiple dimensions.

. Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, said, “ThaiBev humbly adopts the royal command of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn to “continue, preserve, and develop, and to reign with righteousness for the benefit and happiness of the people forever.” We also embrace the sufficiency economy philosophy of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej as our guiding principle to advance district-level grassroots economic development aimed at

“creating benefits for communities and happiness for the people.” ThaiBev has implemented the “With Loyalty and Devotion” project to benefit communities and enhance people’s happiness through establishing Strong Community Sufficiency (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and District Sufficiency Co., Ltd. These are social enterprises at the district level nationwide, totaling 928 companies. The work focuses on three sectors: production, trade, and services, integrating cooperation from multiple sectors while building local capacity at the district level to generate local benefits. Together, they develop and elevate local communities toward global standards by applying knowledge and international standards in local development. This collaboration with the ORPC aims to adopt knowledge from royal projects across all regions to appropriately develop communities according to their geographic and social contexts, covering economic, social, natural resource management, and human capacity building dimensions, thereby enhancing community growth capacity in a strong and sustainable manner.”
