Commerce Ministry Launches Back To School 2026 Campaign with Discounts Up to 86%, Freezing School Uniform Prices

The Ministry of Commerce launches a campaign “Back To School 2026” offering back-to-school product discounts of up to 86%, aiming to help parents reduce living costs by more than 300 million baht. Manufacturers confirm they will keep school uniform prices the same. The campaign starts today.

The Ministry of Commerce launches the Back To School 2026 campaign with discounts up to 86% for the new school term.

Mr. Witthayakorn Maneenet, Director-General of the Department of Internal Trade, revealed that the period before the new school term is when parents face increased expenses, including school uniforms, shoes, school supplies, food, and overall living costs affected by rising energy and transportation prices. Therefore, the Ministry of Commerce, through the Department of Internal Trade, has organized the “Back To School 2026” campaign (Big School Opening, Easy on the Wallet) under the “Thai Help Thai Plus” initiative to ease the financial burden on parents and students nationwide.

Mr. Witthayakorn added that this year, 49 businesses are participating, including 20 manufacturers, 17 retailers, 10 service providers, and 2 online platforms, covering over 1,000 essential educational products and services. The discount event runs from 30 April to 31 May 2026, lasting 32 days, offering discounts up to 86%, and is expected to reduce living costs by at least 300 million baht.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the campaign will reach 1,000 schools nationwide to help lower living costs.

Mr. Witthayakorn further stated that besides the “Back To School 2026” event, the Ministry of Commerce is partnering with the Ministry of Education to organize activities to reduce expenses for parents and students in more than 1,000 schools nationwide. The Ministry of Education will select schools in need and underserved areas, while the Department of Internal Trade will supply consumer goods, school uniforms, learning materials, and stationery at affordable prices. This initiative will begin in May to ensure broad public access to support.

Manufacturers maintain school uniform prices; major brands join with heavy discounts.

The products in the campaign include school uniforms, student shoes, school supplies, milk products, office supplies, IT products, and educational services. Discounts are offered on school uniforms from Suksa Phan, Somjai Nuek, Watcharagon, TISI, and Nomjit; student shoes from ADDA; school supplies from The Mall, B2S, OfficeMate, and SE-ED; and milk products from major brands such as F&N, Nestlé, Hi-Q, Nongpho, Lactasoy, Thai-Denmark, Vitamilk, mMILK, Dutch Mill, and Foremost. Office supplies and electronics are available from DoHome, PowerBuy, and Global House.

Service providers offer discounts in various areas, such as eyewear from Top Charoen and Beautiful Glasses, internet packages from True with up to 68% off, special privileges from AIS including three months free of Alisa AI Premium, and special delivery rates from Thailand Post starting at just 30 baht per kilogram.

Learning and skill development institutions offer course and service discounts, including OpenDurian up to 75% off, We by The Brain up to 50% off, Yamaha Music School up to 20% off, as well as free trial classes and waived enrollment fees for many programs.

Additionally, online platforms contribute with Lazada offering Flash Sale discounts up to 70%, and Shopee providing additional discounts via special codes, making products accessible through all channels.

Mr. Anon Jitmeesilp, operator of Nomjit school uniforms, stated that overall, most manufacturers and uniform suppliers are keeping prices at last year’s levels despite rising costs in many areas, to help reduce parents’ financial burdens during the school reopening period.

Consumers can purchase products and services under the “Back To School 2026” campaign through department stores, participating retailers, Thong Fah shops, and online platforms nationwide.

Check the online shopping guide for savings via Thong Fah shops and online platforms.

A key highlight of the campaign is the “Back To School 2026” shopping guide in an e-catalog format, which compiles all products, promotions, and services in one place, systematically categorized to include school uniforms, school supplies, sports, food and nutrition, technology, personal items, and sales channels. This allows consumers to compare prices, plan spending, and shop conveniently and cost-effectively through the Department of Internal Trade’s online channels.

Besides promotions, the Department of Internal Trade is proactively linking products through the Thong Fah shop network to various areas, including schools and communities, so targeted groups, especially low-income families, can access fair-priced goods widely. This also serves as a key mechanism to help stimulate the country’s overall economy.
