
The Ministry of Commerceconducted a surveyon the response to the "Thai Helps Thai" project selling discounted goods at district offices nationwide. After the Prime Minister and Suphajee launched the kickoff on 1 May 2026, a large number of people flocked to buy products energetically from the North to the South, West, East, Central, and Northeastern regions.They revealed that there aremajor brands, house brands, and Blue Flag products available for shoppers to choose from. Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Karnit Nonjui disclosed the results of a survey on the sale of discounted goods under the "Thai Helps Thai to Reduce Living Costs" project at district offices nationwide. Provincial officials, local government organizations, village chiefs, and the private sector participated together in publicizing and promoting sales at each location. Following the official launch by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who is also Minister of Interior, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Suphajee Suthumpun on 1 May 2026, the Ministry of Commerce through the Department of Business Development and provincial commerce offices surveyed nationwide purchasing behavior from the northernmost to southernmost, eastern, western, and central regions at district offices and spoke with shoppers. The majority of responsesindicated that people cameto shop enthusiastically, satisfied with the major brands at low prices and even cheaper secondary brands, with many essential products to choose from and convenient access without traveling far from home. Additionally, reports indicated fromvariousprovinces that community product entrepreneurs benefited as more people bought community products, increasing community income from these sales.
Products sold in the project include goods from wholesale and retail stores and manufacturers, consisting of house brands and secondary brands. Consumer goods such as soap, shampoo, detergent, and food items like rice, sugar, cooking oil, and seasoning sauces total over 3,000 items, normally about 20% cheaper than branded products, now discounted up to 58%. This means prices are reduced repeatedly. There are also discounted products from general entrepreneurs, Blue Flag products such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, eggs, instant noodles, and community products from small entrepreneurs including food, processed agricultural products, clothing, and prepared foods sold under the project.
Moreover, provincial commerce offices nationwide have surveyedgroups of peopleliving far from district offices who travel to purchase Thai Helps Thai products at wholesale and retail stores or local malls. The feedbackshowed that people were satisfiedwith discounted products from both major and secondary brands, with price reductions up to 60%.
To continuously ease living costs, the Ministry of Commerce has scheduled the sale of products under the "Thai Helps Thai" campaign at district offices nationwide every Friday throughout May 2026 from 08:30 to 16:30, with the following dates:
