Blue Flag Expo Kicks Off in Narathiwat: Commerce Ministry Brings Affordable Goods to Ease Public Burden

The Ministry of Commerce is actively reducing living costs and assisting entrepreneurs by bringing a range of affordable consumer goods to the people of Narathiwat at the "Blue Flag Expo Driving Regional Economy". The event features 10 categories of consumer products with discounts up to 60%, including special prices on eggs and cooking oil. The event runs from 7 to 8 May 2026.

The Ministry of Commerce organizes the "Blue Flag Expo Driving Regional Economy," offering over 1,000 consumer products across 10 categories with discounts up to 60%. Highlight products include eggs, sugar, palm oil, and white rice, available for residents to help ease living expenses, provide more shopping options, and support farmers facing low prices due to market oversupply and shortages.

Mr. Jirawut Suwanart, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Internal Trade, spoke after presiding over the ceremony.He officially opened the "Blue Flag Expo Driving Regional Economy" eventin Narathiwat Province, stating that the Ministry of Commerce supports the government’s policies to reduce expenses, increase income, expand opportunities, and continuously stimulate the economy to aid and alleviate hardships.The effort also aims to reduce living costsfor the publicwho are affected by the economic impact of rising oil prices,which increase living costs for both citizens and businesses. The goal is to help ease expenses and maintain balance., the Ministry of Commerce has implemented the project"Thailand Helps Thailand" to reduce living costs through cooperation with producers, retailers, and wholesalers nationwide. Therefore, the Department of Internal Tradehas been drivingthe implementation of government policies to assist and reduce the cost of living for the public by organizing a sale of affordable goods from 6 to 8 May 2026 at the pedestrian area of Maharaj Stadium, Su-ngai Kolok District, Narathiwat Province. The event receives cooperation from producers, farmer groups, community enterprises, business networks, and small to medium enterprises (SMEs), offering over 1,000 consumer products across 10 categories with discounts up to 60%. Items include instant noodles, canned fish, seasoning sauces, laundry detergent, daily necessities, kitchenware, electrical appliances, clothing, and community products.


Additionally, the event features highlight products such as vegetables and fruits linked directly from farmer groups at special pricesevery day, such asmedium-sized eggs at 80 baht per tray, sugar at 20 baht per kilogram, palm cooking oil at 42 baht per bottle, white rice (5 kg) at 80 baht per bag, and pumpkin at 18 baht per kilogram, also supplied by farmer groups within the event.


"We invite the people of Narathiwat to come select products in this project, which offers quality goods at affordable prices carefully chosen by the Ministry of Commerce. These include essential daily necessities, food, community products, and more. We sincerely hope this will help reduce living costs for the people as intended," Mr. Jirawut said.



The Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, is following government policy and will continue to hold the Blue Flag Expo Driving Regional Economy eight more times nationwide. This activity helps alleviate hardships and reduce living costs for citizens while expanding sales channels for entrepreneurs, stores, farmers, SMEs, and community enterprises. It provides consumers with more choices and gives producers channels to sell goods, thereby stimulating and strengthening the country’s grassroots economy.
