Employees Paying Social Security Contributions Are Entitled to Monthly Compensation if Injured at Work

Social Security Fund members must uphold their rights. The Social Security Office stresses that when employees lose organs or bodily functions due to work-related causes, the Compensation Fund stands ready to provide monthly compensation.

On 11 May, reporters reported that the Social Security Office (SSO) under the Ministry of Labour published information regarding the rights of Social Security members. It stated that if employees suffer injury or illness from work resulting in the loss of organs or bodily functions—whether total or partial—that prevent them from working or cause difficulties in daily life, they can undergo evaluation and apply for benefits from the Compensation Fund of the Social Security Office. They will receive monthly compensation according to the type and degree of loss as defined by law.

In cases where employees lose organs or bodily functions, the Compensation Fund is prepared to provide monthly compensation. For further questions, contact the 1506 hotline, available 24 hours, or visit any Social Security Office nationwide.
