DE and Thailand Post Collaborate to Drive Thai Help Thai Project Distributing Affordable Goods via Mobile Vendors Starting 15 May

The Digital Economy Ministry (DE) and Thailand Post respond to government policy by joining forces with mobile vendor networks to distribute affordable products nationwide, including Thailand Post’s house brand items, to help lower the public’s cost of living.

Government House, 12 May 2026 GMT+7 – The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (DE) is advancing the “Thai Help Thai” initiative in line with government policy. The Minister of Digital Economy and Society has assigned Thailand Post Company Limited to integrate its nationwide postal network capabilities to support the distribution of affordable goods to communities. This effort is in collaboration with the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior, and the Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, to support a network of mobile vendors in distributing affordable products to the public. Alongside this, a product and stock management system is in place to enhance efficiency in delivering essential consumer goods widely. Thailand Post will also sell its house brand products, such as Prai brand rice, Prai brand drinking water, and Prai Coffee, at special prices to help ease living costs and stimulate the grassroots economy. Thailand Post will begin delivering goods to participating mobile vendors nationwide from 15 May 2026 onward.

Mr. Chaichonok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, stated that the ministry is actively implementing government policies to reduce living expenses and improve the grassroots economy concretely. It has tasked Thailand Post Company Limited with harnessing its nationwide postal network to support the distribution of affordable goods to communities by linking mobile vendor networks and local distribution points. This is combined with applying the country’s product management and logistics systems to boost the efficiency of distributing essential consumer goods, ensuring they reach the public conveniently, widely, and rapidly. This is achieved through cooperation among government sectors, commerce, and national digital and logistics infrastructure to maximize benefits for people in all areas.

“The Thai Help Thai project is not merely a short-term measure to reduce living costs but a linkage of community-level economic systems with the country’s infrastructure in digital technology, logistics, and product distribution. This creates economic opportunities for small entrepreneurs, farmers, and local communities while enhancing access to necessary goods and services for people nationwide. Thailand Post is a key national infrastructure with ready networks, personnel, and digital systems. It can extend its role from a logistics service provider to an effective mechanism supporting the community economy by connecting mobile vendor networks, distribution points, and communities across the country. This helps essential consumer goods reach people quickly, comprehensively, and continuously. Looking ahead, the ministry is prepared to further utilize the digital infrastructure and national service networks to support additional government economic and social measures, including product distribution, linking small entrepreneurs, supporting the community economy, and improving people’s quality of life to create economic security and equal opportunities for citizens nationwide,” he added.

Dr. Danan Supatpan, CEO and Managing Director of Thailand Post Company Limited, said Thailand Post is preparing its nationwide post office network to fully support the “Thai Help Thai” project. Post offices will serve as central hubs for product management, distribution, and coordination with mobile vendor networks in each area. They have established operational systems covering stock management, demand forecasting per area, pre-ordering systems, and data connectivity among post offices, mobile vendors, and community distribution points to enhance efficiency. This reduces problems of product shortages or uneven distribution and ensures continuous operation. Thailand Post will begin delivering goods to participating mobile vendors nationwide from 15 May 2026 onward.

“A key strength of Thailand Post is its extensive network of post offices close to communities, enabling rapid and precise distribution tailored to each area’s needs. Initially, Thailand Post has upgraded 122 post offices nationwide to become sales points for the ‘Thai Help Thai’ project, with plans to expand to 824 district post offices, totaling 946 nationwide, to increase convenient and widespread access to essential consumer goods for the public,” he explained.

Additionally, Thailand Post also sells its house brand products such as Prai brand rice, Prai brand drinking water, and Prai Coffee at special prices, alongside products from the ThailandPostMart platform as part of the “Thai Help Thai” project. This helps alleviate living costs and offers more choices for accessing essential goods through the nationwide post office network. It aims to facilitate convenient access to quality consumer goods at reasonable prices across the country.

At the same time, Thailand Post uses the ThailandPostMart platform to support the sale of consumer goods from more than 2,000 small entrepreneurs, helping expand their market channels, increase income, and stimulate local economies nationwide.”

“Thailand Post is committed to utilizing the country’s logistics network and service infrastructure to deliver opportunities and improve the quality of life for people in all areas. It supports the rapid, comprehensive, and continuous distribution of essential goods to communities to drive the growth of the country’s grassroots economy strongly and sustainably,” Dr. Danan concluded.
