
Energy Minister Eknath Promphan honored the opening ceremony of “Future Mobility Thailand 2026 (FMT 2026) and TyreXpo Asia Bangkok & AutoMROtive 2026,” an international exhibition showcasing technology and innovations in automotive, tire industries, parts, maintenance, and future transport systems. The event aims to advance Thailand as a hub for modern automotive industries and a Mobility Hub for the Asian region.
The event reflects the rapid transformation of the global automotive industry driven by the growth of electric vehicles (EVs), smart technologies, digital production systems, as well as global energy and supply chain shifts. These trends present a significant opportunity for Thailand to establish itself as a manufacturing base and business center for Future Mobility in the region.
Energy Minister Eknath Promphan stated, “Thailand is undergoing a crucial transition in its energy and automotive sectors. Developing clean energy technologies, energy storage systems, and infrastructure for electric vehicles will be key mechanisms to enhance the country’s competitiveness. Future Mobility Thailand 2026 and TyreXpo Asia Bangkok & AutoMROtive 2026 are not just trade shows but important platforms connecting government, industry, investors, and global technology developers to jointly drive the future of the region’s automotive and energy industries.”
The event gathers entrepreneurs, technology producers, EV system developers, tire manufacturers, parts suppliers, maintenance experts, and comprehensive automotive industry solution providers from around the world. It offers opportunities for business negotiations, international business matching, and cooperation to expand business and investment prospects in the future industry.
Organizers noted that Southeast Asia is emerging as one of the fastest-growing automotive and aftermarket markets globally, supported by factors such as increasing vehicle numbers, logistics expansion, growth in aging vehicle fleets, and the accelerating EV market transforming the entire automotive industry.
Future Mobility Thailand 2026 is positioned as a “Global Marketplace and Global Matching Hub” connecting buyers, sellers, investors, technology manufacturers, and international organizations on one platform. Meanwhile, TyreXpo Asia Bangkok & AutoMROtive 2026 serves as a key regional event for the tire, parts, and automotive maintenance industries, showcasing Thailand’s potential as Asia’s integrated automotive industry center.
The event also features displays of the latest innovations and technologies from leading global companies, covering electric drive systems, battery technologies, charging infrastructure, AI and smart manufacturing for automotive, as well as tire, maintenance, and aftermarket solutions suited to the modern industry.
Mrs. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, Chairperson of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), said the automotive parts industry is a key pillar of the national economy, with exports valued at around 300 billion baht in 2025 and employing over 750,000 workers. The FTI has set a 5I strategy under the vision“The New Chapter of Thai Industry.”This comprises Intelligent Industry, Innovation & Creative Industry, International Alliance & Network, Industrial Infrastructure Reform, and Inclusive & Sustainable Growth to prepare 48 industry groups and 76 provincial industry councils for global competition.
Mrs. Pimjai stated,“This event directly supports the I3 strategy — International Alliance & Network of the FTI. It is a crucial mechanism to help Thai entrepreneurs maintain leadership in the global automotive industry supply chain and to truly position Thailand as a Global Supply Chain Hub.”
Mr. Sompol Thanadumrongsak, President of the Thai Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association (TAPMA), said Thailand has over 2,400 companies in the automotive supply chain employing more than 700,000 people. With over 2.2 billion vehicles in operation worldwide, opportunities for Thai parts manufacturers remain open across all markets, including aftermarket, EVs, next-generation internal combustion engines, and future industries.
