Department of Business Development Ends Walk-in Registration for New Juristic Persons Starting 1 Jul 2026, Moves to 100% Online System

The Department of Business Development announced the end of walk-in registration for new juristic persons starting from 1 Jul 2026. The move aims for a fully digital system at 100%, accepting registrations exclusively via the DBD Biz Regist platform, which facilitates convenience and eliminates bribery issues.

Mr. Poonphong Nainapakorn, Director-General of the Department of Business Development, revealed that from 1 Jul 2026 onward, the department will drive the Thai government toward becoming a fully digital government. It will seek public and business cooperation to end walk-in or paper-based registration services for partnerships and limited companies to align withtechnological changes andmeet the needs of businesses and the public. Registrations will be accepted only through the DBD Biz Regist system, which will save time and travel costs and reduce face-to-face contact between officials and businesses or the public, minimizing opportunities for bribery or corruption within the public sector.

Previously, the department continuously improved its online services via the DBD Biz Regist system to enhance convenience. This resulted in online registration submissions reaching 89.05% in April 2026 compared to September 2025, when the partial closure of walk-in registration counters began and was extended until December 2025. For new partnership and company registrations, usage reached 94.59% compared to September 2025.

“DBD Biz Regist is a key mechanism to elevate transparency and trustworthiness in Thailand's economic system. It incorporates electronic identity verification and seamless data linkage with government agencies, reducing risks of document forgery or impersonation. Every step of business registration through this system is standardized, transparent, and verifiable. The system operates 24 hours a day, allowing entrepreneurs to submit applications, check status, and receive important documents electronically from anywhere.”

Mr. Poonphong invited entrepreneurs to register partnerships and limited companies through the DBD Biz Regist system. For questions or further guidance on using the system, they can contact the Business Registration Division, Department of Business Development, via the Line Official Account: @DBD1570 and Call Center 1570.
