Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya serves as the patron of the historical exhibition “Royal Attire Goes Global,” commemorating the 340th anniversary of Thai–French relations and the 170th anniversary of the official establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the French Republic (1856–2026 GMT+7).
The exhibition presents Thai fashion styles that have evolved from traditional dress, featuring historic royal garments related to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother; Her Majesty Queen Suthida Patcharasuthapatimol; and Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya.
These displayed pieces testify to the royal commitment to preserving cultural heritage continuously from the reign of the Queen Mother, highlighting the sharp, distinctive forms and exquisite craftsmanship of Thai textiles, and the adaptation of traditional Thai attire into contemporary fashion.
These elements remain foundational for conserving contemporary creative works that continue to uphold Thai art and culture, enabling Thai fashion to make an impact on the global stage.
The exhibition runs from 13 May to 1 November 2026 GMT+7 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (MAD) in Paris, France. It is a collaboration between the Ministry of Commerce through the Support Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (Public Organization), the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, the Royal Thai Embassy in Paris, and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs.
