Due to the Middle East conflict directly impacting the global energy price crisis, the government has accelerated measures to ease citizens' expenses. Recently, the entire MRT and BTS systems announced their readiness to join the project. "Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60/40" To encourage the use of economical and safe public transportation systems.

Mr. Kachphajon Udomthamphakdi, Governor of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), stated that MRTA, together with concessionaires BEM (Blue and Purple Lines) and EBM (Yellow and Pink Lines), is ready to support this policy. The government will pay 60% of fares while passengers pay 40%.

Conditions and benefits revealed

Eligible users can use the "Paotang" application, with the following subsidy details and limitations:

• Project duration: 1 June – 30 September 2026
• Eligible usage time: 06:00 – 23:00 hrs.
• Support amount: Government subsidizes up to 200 baht per person per day, and a maximum of 1,000 baht per person per month.
• Eligible ticket types: Single Journey Ticket for general public and seniors.

How to use rights to buy train tickets via the "Paotang" app

MRT, BTS, and Gold Line trains use the same payment procedure as follows:

1. Top up the G-Wallet in the "Paotang" application
2. Enter the Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60/40 menu
3. Select "Scan QR to use rights"
4. Scan the QR Code at ticket counters at every station
5. Check the amount, press confirm, and enter PIN
6. Complete the transaction (receive confirmation slip from the app and collect the ticket to travel)

Important notes and exceptions where rights cannot be used

To avoid confusion, passengers should check the conditions that the project does NOT allow:

• Cannot be used to top up or add rides on Mangmoom Card, EMV Card, and Rabbit Card
• Cannot be used to purchase any kind of stored-value cards
• Tickets purchased under this project are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash
• Does not cover fines (such as overstaying, lost tokens) or MRT parking fees
