
The Ministry of Finance warns over 340,000 existing merchants to urgently confirm their participation via the “Tung Ngern” application to join “Thai Chuey Thai Plus,” ensuring readiness to accept payment scans starting 1 June 2026.
Mr. Lawaron Saengsanit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, reported on the progress of the “Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60/40” program. He stated that so far, a total of 1.04 million operators have registered for the program, including 69,582 new merchants and 977,000 existing merchants.
The latest data shows that among existing merchants, 693,000 have successfully confirmed participation, but over 340,000 have yet to confirm. The Ministry of Finance therefore urges those merchants to urgently complete confirmation through the “Tung Ngern” app to ensure the system is ready to accept payment scans nationwide from 1 June 2026 onward.

Additionally, by region, the Northeast has the highest number of participating merchants with 203,407 stores, followed by Bangkok with 156,144 stores and the metropolitan area with 153,028 stores. This aligns with the government's past policy to distribute income fairly to small businesses and street food vendors across regions.
