Mr. Songpol Chewapanyaroj, Director of Government Savings Bank, stated that amid global economic challenges, inflation, and rapid changes, relying solely on savings may not ensure long-term financial security. Many Thais hesitate to start investing due to concerns about risk and lack of knowledge. The “GSB The Selected” initiative collaborates with 10 leading asset management firms to select quality funds based on Thematic Investment, divided into three main groups covering all goals and risk levels. Services are available at GSB branches nationwide with investment advisors and through the MyMo app (specifically with MFC Asset Management PLC) to help customers start investing more easily, choose suitable funds, diversify risk conveniently, manage balanced portfolios, and create opportunities for appropriate returns effectively, as follows.

Group 1: Stable Portfolio with low risk, focusing on fixed income securities, providing steady income and balanced risk management. This is a first step for those seeking to convert savings into opportunities for stable and higher returns. Recommended funds come from MFC Asset Management PLC, UOB Asset Management (Thailand) Co., Krungsri Asset Management Co., and Kasikorn Asset Management Co.

Investors may face currency exchange risks as hedging depends on the fund manager's discretion. This investment advice follows the framework agreed upon by GSB and its 10 asset management partners, aiming to create opportunities for returns according to portfolio types, not guarantees of returns. Risks include the possibility that returns may not meet expectations or losses may occur.
