
The Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, launches "Thai Help Thai at District Offices" Phase 2 from July to September 2026. After Phase 1 helped citizens reduce living expenses by over 29 million baht, plans are underway to offer affordable products every other Friday.
Mr. Poonpong Nainapakorn, Director-General of the Department of Business Development, revealed details about the "Thai Help Thai at District Offices" campaign, which sold affordable consumer goods nationwide in May 2026 over five events to help ease living costs. It received very positive responses, with total sales reaching 135.40 million baht, involving 51,491 participating vendors and over 1.08 million shoppers. This helped reduce expenses and ease living costs for citizens by as much as 29.62 million baht. Top-selling items included cooking oil, chicken eggs, duck eggs, laundry detergent, fabric softener, and sugar.
Following Phase 1's success, Ms. Supachai Suthamman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, instructed the Department of Business Development to proceed with Phase 2 under the format of "every other Friday" events from July through September 2026.
For this phase, the Department has gathered house brand products from leading national wholesale and retail chains such as Makro, Lotus’s, Big C, Tops, GO Wholesale, and CJ MORE, along with alternative branded products offered at special promotional prices, allowing citizens to purchase quality goods at affordable rates.
The sales events will be held at district offices nationwide from 08:30 to 16:30, totaling seven occasions on the following dates:
July 2026: Fridays 3, 17, and 31.
August 2026: Fridays 14 and 28.
September 2026: Fridays 11 and 25.
The Ministry of Commerce invites the public to purchase essential consumer products at their local district offices, encouraging participation in stimulating the grassroots economy and reducing household expenses.
