Student Loan Fund Urges New Students to Submit Pre-Approval for 2026 Academic Year Before Deadline

The Student Loan Fund (SLF) has issued a notice warning university students wishing to apply for new loans for the 2026 academic year to promptly submit their intent through the Pre-Approve system according to the schedule, to secure their rights to access educational funding.

Check the SLF Pre-Approve submission schedule for 2026.

Information from the Student Loan Fund outlines the timeline for submitting loan intent via the Pre-Approve system on the SLF website, divided by type of educational institution as follows.

  • Students enrolled in general educational institutions. Must submit their intent by 13 July 2026 (schools will send the list to SLF by 15 July 2026).
  • Students enrolled in ASEAN-type educational institutions. Must submit their intent by 28 August 2026 (schools will send the list to SLF by 31 August 2026).

A key step: screening before loan approval.

Mrs. Anchalee Phurivitwatthana, Deputy Manager of the Student Loan Fund, acting Manager of the Student Loan Fund, revealed that the SLF has now opened the Pre-Approve loan intent submission system for new university students for 2026.

This process is very important for new loan applicants as it verifies identity and conducts an initial eligibility screening before the data is forwarded to educational institutions for consideration and selection according to the Fund’s criteria.

Emphasizing no extension: applicants must act promptly.

The SLF reminds applicants that there will be no extension for the Pre-Approve process. Therefore, those wishing to borrow must complete the process within the set period to proceed with consideration and loan disbursement without interruption, preventing loss of loan eligibility.
