The National Housing Authority (NHA) The National Housing Authority is advancing the policy of Mr. Nikorn Somkalang, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, by launching the "NHA Helps Thais: Easy to Buy, Comfortable to Pay" campaign. It offers 69 housing projects nationwide, including 37 Baan Ua-Arthorn projects, with price reductions up to 20%, along with loan and hire-purchase measures to increase opportunities for the public, especially low-income groups, the elderly, people with disabilities, and vulnerable populations to access quality housing at affordable prices.
The Minister of Social Development and Human Security emphasizes housing security as a fundamental factor in improving quality of life and reducing social inequality. He has instructed the National Housing Authority to expedite assistance measures through housing price reductions, special interest rates, and expanded loan and hire-purchase options to ensure equitable and comprehensive housing access for all groups.
A key highlight of this campaign is that consumers who are denied loans by commercial banks can switch to hire-purchase contracts directly with the National Housing Authority. Special interest rates vary by project conditions as follows:
General projects (step-up interest rates)
Specific designated projects (special lowest interest rates)
The campaign also allows hire-purchase customers to pay more than the set amount to close their accounts faster, and exempts credit bureau checks for Baan Ua-Arthorn projects, community housing (for low-income groups), and social housing development projects. The campaign runs from now until 30 September 2026.
The Governor of the National Housing Authority added that current tenants in NHA projects (under existing hire-purchase agreements) can convert to hire-purchase contracts. For social projects such as Baan Ua-Arthorn and community housing for low-income groups, the deposit is 1,000 baht, while commercial projects require a 5,000 baht deposit. All housing units participating in the campaign will be renovated to be ready for occupancy before handover, or buyers can choose a discount on the sale price instead of repairs to carry out renovations themselves under specified conditions.
The campaign aims to increase public access to quality housing, reduce expenses, enhance housing security, improve quality of life, and stimulate the real estate sector and the national economy.
