Ministry of Agriculture Launches Major Thai Fruit Festival Showcasing Produce from Four Regions at Lan Khon Mueang, 12-16 July

The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, through the Department of Cooperative Promotion, together with the Ministry of Commerce's Department of Internal Trade, is advancing fruit management measures by organizing the grand Thai Fruit Festival “Thailand: The Land of Tropical Fruits” under the concept Fresh From Farm, showcasing the wonders of fruits from four regions at the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Hall. The event aims to stimulate consumption, expand marketing channels, increase farmers' income, and elevate the image of Thai fruits on the global stage.

Ms. Piyaratch Tiyapairat, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, announced the Thai Fruit Festival organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives through the Department of Cooperative Promotion in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce's Department of Internal Trade. The event, titled “Thailand: The Land of Tropical Fruits” under the concept Fresh From Farm, highlights the wonders of fruits from four regions. It aims to promote awareness and stimulate consumption under the 2026 fruit management measures, held from 12 to 16 July 2026 at Lan Khon Mueang, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Hall, to boost Thai fruit consumption, expand market channels, and directly connect quality produce from farmers to consumers.

The “Thailand: The Land of Tropical Fruits” event will showcase the charm of Thai fruits through their unique Thai identity while emphasizing Thailand's potential as a world-quality tropical fruit producer under the slogan “Thai Fruits: Fresh, New, Safe, and Consumer-Care.” It will feature outstanding fruits from all four regions in one place, including from the North: golden longan, Phulae pineapple, and Thung Chang rambutan., the Northeast,volcanic durian, dragon fruit; from the Central region: Pala-U durian, large white pomelo, coconut, and golden banana; and from the South: mangosteen and Ruby Siam pomelo, all available for direct purchase from producers.

The event also includes many other famous fruits nationwide, local identity products, agricultural standard (Q) products, and safe agricultural products from cooperatives, farmer groups, and community enterprises, along with booths selling products under the supervision ofthe Office of Agricultural and Food Standards (ACFS) and the Fish Marketing Organization, totaling 50 booths.,

Beyond fresh fruit purchases directly from producers, processed fruit products, fabric goods, and quality rice will also be available for sale. Over the five days, attendees will witness the launch of the Cooperative Distribution Center (CDC) and the "CO-OP Easy Shop" platform, expanding marketing channels and digital innovations in cooperative product trading, promoting the image of a "Modern Trade of the Community" that is fresh, accessible, and farm-to-consumer.across the country.A memorandum of understanding will be signed to promote and support the implementation of agricultural product standards (AGS) for cooperatives and farmer groups between the Department of Cooperative Promotion and the Office of Agricultural and Food Standards (ACFS). This aims to upgrade and add value to agricultural products, build confidence among buyers, sellers, and consumers, and ensure fairness in agricultural trade.agricultural products.The event will feature fruit carving demonstrations, fruit processing and value-adding activities, basket arrangement, dessert and beverage making, career-building workshops, check-in reward activities, and promotional sales with two flash sales daily to create new experiences for consumers. It supports ongoing Thai fruit consumption and includes business matching activities, providing a platform for cooperatives, farmer groups, and community enterprises to negotiate sales expansion with modern trade stores, private sector operators, hotels, cooperative distribution centers, and cooperative networks on 14–15 July 2026.

The “Thailand: The Land of Tropical Fruits” exhibition and sale under the concept Fresh From Farm, featuring the wonders of fruits from four regions, is one of the joint fruit distribution support measures between the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and the Ministry of Commerce. It aims to stimulate consumption of Thai fruit products, create opportunities, expand sales channels for quality fruits, andstabilize pricesfor farmers' produce. This is especially important during the June to August period each year, which isthe peak season when tropical fruits from all regions of Thailand flood the market.The public and tourists are invited to support fruits from cooperatives and farmer groups nationwide. The event offers tasting, shopping, and experiencing the wonders of Thai fruits from 12 to 16 July 2026 at Lan Khon Mueang, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Hall.
