National Housing Authority Invites Residents to Use the Settle Debts Quickly, Move Forward Program to Reduce Debt Burden and Restore Credit

The National Housing Authority invites residents and qualified individuals to participate in the program"Settle Debts Quickly, Move Forward"This is a collaboration between the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Thailand, the Thai Bankers' Association, and Sukhumvit Asset Management Company Limited (SAM) to assist small debtors classified as non-performing loans (NPLs) in reducing debt burdens, restoring financial records, and enabling access to credit systems again.

Mr. Taweepong Wichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, said the Authority prioritizes improving people's quality of life alongside strengthening household economic stability. Therefore, it promotes this measure to ensure residents in National Housing Authority projects can access opportunities to resolve debt problems and rehabilitate their financial status comprehensively.

Check eligibility for the "Settle Debts Quickly, Move Forward" program

According to the program criteria, participants in the debt restructuring measure must meet the following qualifications:

  • Debtor status Be a natural person classified as having non-performing loans (NPLs) overdue for more than 90 days as of 30 September 2025.
  • Total debt amount Have total NPL debt according to the National Credit Bureau (NCB) data not exceeding 100,000 baht per person.
  • Legal conditions Must not be bankrupt or listed on the Sanction List of the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO).
  • Types of debt covered Credit card debt, personal loans, and remaining balances from previously secured loans.

Two debt settlement options to restore financial liquidity

Regarding repayment methods, debtors can choose according to their financial readiness as follows:

1. One-time settlement with up to 50% principal discount.

2. Installment payments with up to 30% principal discount, 0% interest rate, and a maximum term of 36 months according to specified criteria.

Mr. Taweepong said stable housing must go hand in hand with financial stability. The National Housing Authority is ready to act as a conduit to publicize beneficial government measures so residents and the public can access rights and opportunities to restore their financial status, which is a fundamental step to improving quality of life and securing long-term family stability.
