Good News: Thai Smile Boat Electric Ferry Joins Thai Chuey Thai Plus Starting 1 Aug

Good news for travelers: the electric ferry Thai Smile Boat will accept payments under the "Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60/40" program across all three routes, starting from 1 August to 30 September 2026.

Thai Smile Boat Company Limited, the electric ferry operator on the Chao Phraya River, is joining the government’s "Thai Chuey Thai Plus 60/40" program to facilitate travel and support government policies easing living costs for the public. Passengers can begin using the subsidy via scanning from 1 August onward.

Under this scheme, passengers paying for Thai Smile Boat electric ferry rides will only pay 12 baht per trip instead of the usual 30 baht, helping reduce daily living expenses as per government policy. The initiative also promotes tourism and clean energy transport, reducing environmental pollution. Passengers can claim the subsidy with staff at piers or on board by using the Paotang application from 1 August to 30 September 2026.

The Thai Chuey Thai Plus subsidy applies to all three Thai Smile Boat electric ferry routes: Green Line (City Line) between Siam Charoen Nakhon and Phra Pinklao, Purple Line (Urban Line) between Sathorn and Phra Nang Klao, and Blue Line (Metro Line) between Tha Nam Nonthaburi and Wat Worachanyawas. Once the subsidy quota is used up, passengers can still use the HOP Card with the Daily Max Fare for unlimited travel all day at just 40 baht.
