He revealed after presiding over the opening of "Franchise Expo Thailand by Smart SME Expo" held from 6-9 Aug 2026 at Halls 6-8, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, that the event is part of the annual Smart SME Expo. This year, the department arranged a pavilion featuring 50 franchise businesses it supports and promotes across five categories: food, beverages, services, beauty and spa, and retail.

Live broadcasts by well-known influencers throughout the four days to boost sales for entrepreneurs.
Consultation services on franchise business operations and advice on loan applications for investment.
Updates on franchise business trends from experts and successful entrepreneurs.
Franchises remain a popular business model for creating careers and distributing income locally, as they offer a well-structured system that reduces risks for new business starters.
Another key highlight is the launch of the campaign. "Thai Help Thai: Franchise Career Plus." The government supports 50% of franchise package costs, up to 10,000 Baht per case, when purchasing franchise packages participating in the campaign. Simultaneously, there is the award ceremony. DBD Thailand Franchise Award 2026. This honors franchise business operators to recognize their achievements and encourage sustainable growth. Thirty-eight brands from 35 businesses competed, with eight brands from seven businesses winning. The awards are divided into four categories with 11 awards total: Best Thai Franchise Business by Size (3 awards), Best Thai Franchise Business by Industry (4 awards), Thai Franchise Businesses with Outstanding Specialty (2 awards), and Thai Franchise of the Year (2 awards).
