Rubber Authority Board Appoints Weerith Amrapal as Acting Governor

A reporter from the Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) reported that the RAOT board resolved to appoint Mr. Weerith Amrapal, a RAOT board member, as acting governor of the Rubber Authority of Thailand to ensure continuous and effective management and policy implementation.

According to RAOT Board Order No. 7/2569 concerning the appointment of the acting governor of RAOT, the board, exercising power under Section 33 of the Rubber Authority of Thailand Act B.E. 2558 (2015), and based on the special meeting resolution No. 3/2569 dated 11 August 2026, canceled the previous RAOT board order No. 4/2569 dated 26 February 2026 and appointed Mr. Weerith Amrapal as acting governor.

Mr. Weerith will have authority and duties equivalent to those of the governor of RAOT. The order is effective from 13 August 2026 onwards. His remuneration will follow the criteria set by the State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO).

The order was signed by Mr. Benjapol Nakprasert, chairman of the RAOT board, on 17 August 2026, aiming to ensure that RAOT’s management can proceed without interruption and effectively advance the country’s rubber sector missions.

The reporter added that Mr. Weerith Amrapal previously served as governor of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) before submitting his resignation in October 2025 after about one year in office, effective 30 October 2025. He has now returned to a state enterprise management role as acting governor of RAOT, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives during the tenure of Minister Surya Jungrungkit.
