Commerce Ministry Collaborates with Private Sector to Assemble Relief Kits for Flood Victims in Nan Province

Supachai expressed concern over the flood crisis in northern Thailand, coordinating with the private sector and the Government Pharmaceutical Organization to gather consumer goods and prepare 1,000 relief kits for urgent delivery to Nan residents by 21 August 2026 GMT+7.

She revealed that due to the flooding affecting people in northern areas, especially Nan province, she is deeply concerned for those suffering hardships. She instructed the Ministry of Commerce agencies to urgently provide full assistance by collaborating with private sector operators and relevant agencies to collect necessary consumer goods and essential items to quickly deliver aid to affected residents.

"The Ministry of Commerce aims to provide help to people as quickly as possible, especially during the initial phase of the disaster. Daily necessities can greatly alleviate citizens' distress. Therefore, we have expedited coordination with private sector and relevant agencies to jointly support the provision of goods for rapid delivery to Nan province," Supachai said.

Supachai stated that this relief effort has received cooperation from the network of private sector operators under the Department of Internal Trade and the Government Pharmaceutical Organization, jointly supplying essential goods for victims in large quantities. These include ready-to-drink milk, instant noodles, canned fish and fish products, drinking water, sanitary pads, soap, shampoo, laundry and cleaning products, tissue paper, as well as necessary medicines and medical supplies.

The Department of Internal Trade has sorted and prepared approximately 500 to 1,000 relief kits, designed for easy transport and distribution to affected residents. Officials are hastening the packing and preparation of these kits for shipment to Nan province by Friday, 21 August 2026 GMT+7, and coordinating to ensure prompt delivery directly to impacted people.

Participating businesses and agencies supporting this relief effort include Wan Thai Food Industry Co., Ltd., Thai President Foods Public Company Limited, Sahapat Group Public Company Limited, Thai Food Products Factory Co., Ltd., Thai Union Group Public Company Limited, Royal Foods Co., Ltd., Pattaya Food Industry Co., Ltd., Thai Namthip Corporation Public Company Limited, Nestlé (Thailand) Limited, FrieslandCampina (Thailand) Public Company Limited, F&N Dairies (Thailand) Limited, Dutch Mill Company Limited, Green Spot Company Limited, Lactasoy Company Limited, Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and the Government Pharmaceutical Organization.
