The Bank of Thailand (BOT) allows the public to exchange commemorative banknotes honoring "The Queen Mother" in 100 and 500 baht denominations at face value, limited to 20 notes per person, starting 1 October 2026 GMT+7.
The Bank of Thailand, in gratitude for the royal kindness, is offering the public the chance to exchange commemorative banknotes honoring Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, issued on her birthday anniversaries in 2004 and 2016, for collectors. The exchange begins on 1 October 2026 GMT+7.
Interested individuals can exchange the commemorative banknotes at their face value, with the following conditions: Limited to no more than 20 notes per person per denomination. This is to allow broad access for everyone. The exchange points are as follows.

Since the 500 baht banknotes allocated this time are limited in quantity, the Bank of Thailand allows exchange only at the Bank of Thailand Learning Center. This is to properly manage and allocate the banknotes.
Additionally, the Bank of Thailand explained that it is currently printing commemorative banknotes "In grateful remembrance of the immeasurable royal kindness of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother." , "In grateful remembrance of the boundless royal kindness of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Krom Luang Rajsarinisiri Patcharawachara."
These will be available for public exchange in late 2026. The Bank of Thailand will announce detailed information and schedules in due course.
