The Department of Rural Roads has mobilized staff to assist residents after floods affected 24 rural highways across 6 provinces. Five routes are currently impassable, and travelers are advised to check conditions before traveling.
Mr. Phichit Hunsiri, Director-General of the Department of Rural Roads, stated that the department is currently dealing with flood impacts on rural highways in six provinces: Nong Khai, Sa Kaeo, Chonburi, Chachoengsao, Ratchaburi, and Lopburi. He has ordered the regional offices to urgently deploy personnel to survey affected networks and, where damage is found, to promptly install warning signs, detour signs, water level indicators, flashing lights, red-and-white striped posts along road edges, and other safety equipment to protect the public. Water levels are being closely monitored in line with policies from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Pipat Ratchakitprakarn.
As of 26 September 2026, among the 24 affected roads, 19 remain passable while 5 are impassable due to road surface erosion and severe flooding. These include:
1. Road SK.5053 from junction with TRR SK.4033 to Ban Thap Mai, Watthana Nakhon District, Sa Kaeo Province (km 17+200 to 17+950), where water flow has eroded the road surface and embankment.
2. Road SK.2002 from junction with Highway 33 to Ban Khlong Phak Khom, Mueang District, Sa Kaeo Province (km 6+650 to 6+750), with erosion damage to the road surface and shoulders.
3. Road CHC.5031 from junction with TRR CHC.3009 to Ban Wang Ilian, Sanam Chai Khet District, Chachoengsao Province (km 10+200 to 10+320), flooded.
4. Road CHC.4039 from junction with Highway 3076 to Khao Lala Reservoir, Tha Takiap District, Chachoengsao Province (km 1+500 to 8+400), flooded.
5. Road LB.2007 from junction with Highway 21 to Ban Chon Noi, Phatthana Nikhom District, Lopburi Province (km 10+900 to 11+400), where water flow has eroded the road surface and shoulders.
There are 19 affected routes where vehicles can still pass, as follows:

Sa Kaeo Province (2 routes) SK.3026 in Mueang Sa Kaeo and Khao Chakan Districts (km 24+100 to 24+850) and SK.3085 in Aranyaprathet, Khao Sung, and Ta Phraya Districts (km 23+575 to 23+950)
Chonburi Province (7 routes) CB.5202 (km 0+625 to 0+725), CB.5200 (km 5+750 to 5+850), CB.5054 (km 0+000 to 0+025), CB.4090 (km 4+800 to 4+850), CB.4084 (km 5+200 to 5+300 and 17+975 to 18+025), CB.4017 (several sections between km 11+500 to 36+220) in Bo Thong District, plus CB.4064 in Si Racha District (km 7+300 to 7+400) and CB.4004 in Phanat Nikhom and Ban Bueng Districts (km 9+000 to 9+600).
Chachoengsao Province (8 routes) CHC.5053, CHC.4061, CHC.4057, CHC.4022, CHC.4008, CHC.3017, CHC.3009 in Tha Takiap, Sanam Chai Khet, and Phanom Sarakham Districts.
Ratchaburi Province (1 route) RB.3012 in Ban Pong District (km 4+900 to 5+000)
Additionally, the department is closely monitoring landslide risks and has deployed machinery to affected sites to restore safe passage as soon as possible. Updates will be provided regularly. The department urges road users to exercise extra caution and to report flood incidents at local rural highway offices nationwide or via the Department of Rural Roads hotline at 1146.
