Due to continuous heavy rainfall across many areas in late September 2026, widespread flooding has disrupted transportation routes. The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has issued a notice to passengers regarding the Eastern Line operations, as flooded tracks in multiple locations have made train travel impossible. Therefore, temporary track closures are necessary to ensure passenger safety.

Update on Eastern Line closure points

SRT stated that after assessing the conditions, it is necessary to close the following affected sections due to flooding:

• The route between Ban Kaeng and Sa Kaeo stations
• The route between Aranyaprathet and Watthana Nakhon stations
• The route between the PTT area and Bangchak Oil Refinery line
• The route between Kabin Buri and Ban Dong Bang stations
• The route between Prachantakham and Prachinburi stations
• The route between Khlong Tan and Hua Mak stations

Announcement of cancellation of 10 additional Eastern Line train services

For travel safety, SRT has revised the train schedule, announcing the cancellation of 10 additional affected train services since yesterday, as follows:

Outbound services

• Ordinary train no. 275 from Bangkok (Hua Lamphong) to Ban Khlong Luk
• Ordinary train no. 283 from Bangkok (Hua Lamphong) to Chuk Samet
• Ordinary train no. 281 from Bangkok (Hua Lamphong) to Kabin Buri
• Special excursion train no. 997 from Bangkok (Hua Lamphong) to Chuk Samet

Inbound services

• Ordinary train no. 276 from Ban Khlong Luk to Bangkok (Hua Lamphong)
• Ordinary train no. 284 from Chuk Samet to Bangkok (Hua Lamphong)
• Ordinary train no. 282 from Kabin Buri to Bangkok (Hua Lamphong)
• Ordinary train no. 280 from Ban Khlong Luk to Bangkok (Hua Lamphong)
• Ordinary train no. 278 from Kabin Buri to Bangkok (Hua Lamphong)
• Special passenger train no. 998 from Chuk Samet to Bangkok (Hua Lamphong)

Meanwhile, train stations will inform passengers to consider alternate routes or use other public transportation options such as the Airport Rail Link or buses.
