Extension of Free Toll Period on 8 Expressways Until 29 Sep 2026 to Aid Flood Victims by EXAT

EXAT has announced an extension of the toll exemption, offering free passage on all eight expressways until 24:00 on 29 Sep 2026 to help ease public hardship caused by flooding.

On 27 Sep 2026, the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) under the Ministry of Transport stated that due to heavy rains and flooding affecting many areas and directly impacting public travel, EXAT has decided to extend the toll-free period on expressways as an emergency response to alleviate difficulties and facilitate travel.

Originally, EXAT had set the toll exemption from 13:00 on 26 Sep 2026 until 24:00 on 27 Sep 2026, but it has now extended the exemption continuously until 24:00 on 29 Sep 2026.

The toll exemption this time covers all eight main expressways, which include:

• Chaloem Maha Nakhon Expressway (First Stage Expressway System).
• Si Rat Expressway (Second Stage Expressway System).
• Chalong Rat Expressway (Ramintra–At Narong and Outer Ring Road sections).
• Burapha Withi Expressway (Bang Na–Chonburi section).
• Udon Ratthaya Expressway (Bang Pa-in–Pak Kret section).
• Bang Na–At Narong Expressway (S1).
• Kanchanaphisek Expressway (Bang Phli–Suksawat section).
• Prachim Ratthaya Expressway (Si Rat–Bangkok Outer Ring Road section).

EXAT collaborates with BEM to deploy safety personnel.

EXAT, together with Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), has arranged for staff to manage and facilitate traffic safety along the routes while closely monitoring the flood situation.

However, the public is advised to continuously monitor information about expressway entry and exit points that may be affected to plan their travel accordingly, to drive with increased caution, and to strictly follow the instructions of officials to ensure maximum safety.
