Deputy Minister of Transport Sanphet Boonyamanee visited flood-affected Bang Kapi to support volunteers and unite government and private sectors in coordinating flat-bottom boats to expedite supply deliveries to alleviate hardships for flood victims at Khlong Chan Flats.
On 28 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Deputy Minister of Transport Sanphet Boonyamanee visited the Honda Safe Driving Training Center in Bang Kapi to encourage officials and volunteers preparing and distributing food to those affected by the floods. Honda provided the venue as a food distribution center before forwarding supplies to the affected areas.
In this support effort, SRT Asset Company Limited donated 500 boxed meals, while the Port Authority of Thailand contributed 500 boxed meals and 500 bottles of drinking water. These were combined with food from the mobile kitchen of Suki Teenoi to assist flood victims.
The Khlong Chan Flats and other Bang Kapi areas require approximately 25,000 boxed meals per meal. Delivery is challenging due to high water levels preventing vehicle access to some locations. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and Royal Thai Army soldiers have joined to support food transport.
Deputy Minister Sanphet coordinated with relevant agencies and the private sector to provide flat-bottom boats for delivering food to areas inaccessible by vehicles, ensuring aid meets the needs of residents and supports local officials’ operations effectively.
