Chao Phraya Express Boat announced a 1 baht increase in fare rates for all boat types due to the rise in diesel fuel price, now at 41.49 baht per liter, effective from Monday, 5 October 2026.
Commander Charoenporn Charoentham, Managing Director of Chao Phraya Express Boat Company Limited, which operates passenger boats on the Chao Phraya River route between Pak Kret Pier and Wat Ratchasingkhon Pier, revealed that this fare increase is due to the continuous rise in diesel prices. As of 24 September 2026, diesel prices reached 41.49 baht per liter, impacting the company’s operating costs, making it necessary to adjust fares to reflect actual cost structures.
On 24 September 2026, the company increased all boat fare rates by 1 baht from the previous rates, effective from Monday, 5 October 2026.
- Route Pak Kret – Nonthaburi From 16 baht to 17 baht.
- Route Nonthaburi – Sathorn From 23 baht to 24 baht.
- Route Pak Kret – Sathorn From 35 baht to 36 baht.
If diesel prices decrease in the future according to set criteria, the company is ready to reduce fares based on the fuel cost structure accordingly.
