Sanphet has instructed the Marine Department to mobilize forces to assist flood victims in Prachinburi by quickly distributing food and relocating people to safe areas while continuously monitoring the situation.

He revealed that the Ministry of Transport is concerned about citizens affected by floods in various areas and has therefore ordered the Marine Department to mobilize staff, equipment, boats, and rescue vehicles to urgently assist people, while continuously preparing relief packages and essential items to alleviate their hardships until the situation improves.

He stated that he has directed the directors of Regional Marine Offices 1, 2, and 7, along with branch offices and the Waterway Development and Maintenance Office, to establish a Water Transport Facilitation Center under Marine Department Order 600/2568 concerning flood response. This is to prepare personnel, equipment, flat-bottom boats, jet skis, and rescue vehicles to promptly support and assist flood-affected communities.
Regarding flood relief efforts in Prachinburi on 3 October 2026, the Chachoengsao Regional Marine Office collaborated with Waterway Development and Maintenance Office 5 (Chanthaburi) to assist residents in villages 6 and 7, Bang Phluang Subdistrict, Ban Sang District, Prachinburi Province. They used boats to deliver essential items including 300 cooked meals, 50 packs of drinking water, and dry food to alleviate the distress caused by flooding.
Additionally, the Marine Department coordinated with relevant agencies to deploy royal flat-bottom boats to help evacuate people stranded in the United Paper company dormitory in Wat Bot Subdistrict, Mueang Prachinburi District, relocating them to a shelter in the same subdistrict to ensure comprehensive assistance and rapid access to safe areas.
Meanwhile, on 4 October 2026, the Nonthaburi Regional Marine Office conducted patrols and controlled waterway traffic, maintaining water transport safety on the Chao Phraya River in Nonthaburi and Pathum Thani provinces to reassure the public and waterway users during the flooding situation.
The Marine Department continues to closely monitor flood situations nationwide, mobilizing personnel, boats, and vehicles at full capacity to assist affected citizens, prioritizing the safety of life and property, and remaining ready to provide continuous support until the situation stabilizes.
