Free Access to M6 Motorway Between Bang Pa-In and Hin Kong to Avoid Flooded Routes from 6-11 Oct 2026

The Department of Highways is providing free access to the M6 Motorway section between Bang Pa-In and Hin Kong in both directions to help motorists avoid flood-affected routes, starting from 6 to 11 October 2026 or until the situation improves, urging drivers to exercise caution.

Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Transport, revealed that due to heavy rain causing floods on highways and rural roads, many routes are impassable for the public. Therefore, he has instructed the Department of Highways, through the Expressway Division, to facilitate and alleviate the hardships of people affected by the flooding.

Free access to the M6 Motorway between Bang Pa-In and Hin Kong has been opened.

To provide alternative travel options and avoid flood-affected areas, the Expressway Division of the Department of Highways has begun a trial service allowing free use of the M6 Motorway (Bang Pa-In–Nakhon Ratchasima route) exclusively on the Bang Pa-In to Hin Kong section in both directions without toll fees.

The public can use this route from 18:00 on 6 October 2026 until 24:00 on 11 October 2026, or until the flood situation on main roads improves. The Department of Highways will closely monitor the situation to manage the route accordingly.

Since the M6 Motorway is still under preparation before full official opening, the Department of Highways advises the public to plan their trips carefully, exercise increased caution, and strictly follow traffic signs and officials' instructions for safety.
