Thairath Group received 48.49 million World Cup 2022 result-guessing postcards from Thailand Post and is preparing a prize draw to find lucky winners. The prizes include cash awards and special prizes totaling over 15 million baht, with more than 200 prizes in total, on 31 January. The event will be chaired by the Argentine Ambassador to Thailand, with many celebrities attending as witnesses.
At 11:00 on 19 Jan 2023 at Warehouse 7 of Thairath Group headquarters, Thailand Post organized a handover ceremony for the World Cup 2022 result-guessing postcards. Media under Thairath Group, along with 12 sponsors, launched the campaign “Cheer Football Loudly, Celebrate Luck” to guess the outcome of the 22nd FIFA World Cup held in Qatar from 20 Nov to 18 Dec 2022. The grand prize is 5 million baht, with total prizes exceeding 15 million baht across more than 200 awards.
Mr. Danan Supatphan, CEO of Thailand Post, presided over the handover to Mr. Watchara Watcharaphol, CEO of Trend VG3 Co., Ltd. (Thairath Online) and Triple V Broadcast Co., Ltd. (Thairath TV), representing Thairath Group executives. Ms. Jitsupa Watcharaphol, Content Executive of Triple V Broadcast, and other Thailand Post executives also attended the ceremony.
Mr. Danan revealed that after Argentina won the 2022 World Cup, Thailand Post collected all postcards to sort and mix them thoroughly to distribute chances of winning evenly at the Thairath warehouse starting 17 Dec 2022 after the competition ended. They reported the process and sent status notifications of postcard printing and delivery to those guessing Argentina as champions via the Prompt Post app’s online postcards, ensuring transparency at every step.
After carefully verifying and thoroughly mixing the postcards, a total of 48,499,815 valid postcards guessing Argentina as the 2022 World Cup champion were divided into eight equal piles to maximize the opportunity for participants to win prizes widely. These postcards are now ready to be handed over to Thairath for the prize draw scheduled for late January.

Today, Thailand Post handed over 48,499,815 valid postcards to Thairath. All postcards are securely stored at Warehouse 7 of Thairath Group headquarters, a strictly controlled area with 24-hour security and no unauthorized access allowed, ensuring maximum transparency for the upcoming prize draw for correct World Cup result guesses.
The prizes total more than 15 million baht. Thairath will hold the World Cup prize draw on Tuesday, 31 Jan 2023. The event will be honored by His Excellency Gustavo Alberto Martino, Argentine Ambassador to Thailand, who will chair the draw alongside executives from the 12 supporting organizations and prize sponsors. Each prize drawing will be supervised by Thailand Post officials verifying the validity of each postcard. Numerous celebrities have been invited as witnesses and to participate in the draw.
