A woman from Bang Sao Thong district, Samut Prakan, was speechless with joy after sending a postcard to enter Thairath’s "Cheer Football Loudly, Celebrate Luck" contest predicting the 2022 World Cup results, winning second prize and receiving 500,000 baht in cash.
On 31 Jan 2023 GMT+7, it was reported that after "Thairath Group" held a lucky draw to find winners from the campaign "Cheer Football Loudly, Celebrate Luck" which involved predicting the 2022 World Cup champion and competing for prizes totaling over 15 million baht at Warehouse 7 of Thairath Group’s headquarters. The event featured a massive pile of postcards from participants predicting Argentina as the champion, sorted and verified by Thailand Post Co., Ltd., totaling 48,499,815 entries, with multiple winners.
At 5 p.m., reporters visited a house in Village No. 2, Bang Sao Thong subdistrict, Bang Sao Thong district, Samut Prakan province, where they met Ms. Chayapha Yimyam, the lucky winner who submitted postcards to Thairath’s World Cup prediction contest through the "Cheer Football Loudly, Celebrate Luck" activity, winning second prize and receiving 500,000 baht in cash.
Ms. Chayapha Yimyam said with a trembling voice that she was very happy. When she first received the phone call, she thought it was a scam. She had bought a total of 50 postcards, sending 25 for France and 25 for Argentina. She did not follow the results announcement today because she was working.
She said she will save the prize money as education funds for her three children to help cover their schooling costs. She expressed thanks to Thairath for organizing such a good activity and said she was so happy she was speechless. She intends to use the money primarily to support her children’s education.
