The Pattaya Mayor met with the media to unveil the "Pattaya Connect" model, connecting the city and its people through a single app, advancing the lives of Pattaya residents toward a full Smart City.
On 27 Nov 2025 GMT+7, Poramet Ngampichet, Pattaya Mayor, along with his team, visited executives and editorial staff of Thairath TV to strengthen relations and discuss strategies for communicating news to the public. In an exclusive interview, he detailed the innovative "Pattaya Connect" digital platform, designed to link government, residents, and tourists, transforming Pattaya into a city easily accessible at one’s fingertips.
During the meeting, Poramet highlighted the success of the "Pattaya Connect" model, which is more than just an app. It is a Super Platform via the LINE Official Account (@pattayaconnect) that consolidates all essential services in one place, meeting the needs of the modern lifestyle that demands speed and comprehensiveness.
The Pattaya Mayor emphasized key features that tangibly improve the quality of life for residents and tourists alike under the motto "Pattaya Connect: Connecting every dimension of life... in your hands," including:
1. Real-time Safety: Citizens can view live footage from over 400 CCTV cameras throughout Pattaya, covering traffic conditions and key tourist spots, aiding travel planning and providing peace of mind.
2. Smart Health: Reducing hospital congestion with an online queue booking system for Pattaya City Hospital, allowing users to check their queue status immediately without waiting in person.
3. E-Service: Bringing Pattaya City Hall services to mobile devices, supporting online tax payments and other government services without the need to travel.
4. Seamless Complaint: Integrated with the Traffy Fondue system, enabling residents to report local issues (such as power outages, garbage, and road damage) and track resolution status 24/7.
5. Event Calendar: Updates on activity calendars, events, and tourism promotions to stimulate Pattaya’s local economy.
Beyond AI and the LINE OA system, Poramet noted that Pattaya Connect works alongside the 1337 Emergency Call Center staffed 24/7, supporting Thai, Chinese, and English languages, providing a "Human Touch" for emergency assistance and coordination with rapid response units.
"The Pattaya Connect model is the tangible answer to creating a 'Better Pattaya.' We want technology to be accessible, serving as a tool that makes everyone’s life in Pattaya easier, more convenient, and safer. Thairath TV is a key media outlet with broad reach to the public, so we want to communicate this commitment to all our citizens," Poramet concluded.
