Rescue Team Rushes to Save Cow Pushed into Drainage Pipe in Paddy Field, Unable to Get Out Alone

The Aranyaprathet rescue team rushed to help a female cow that was pushed by another, lost balance, and fell into a drainage pipe in the middle of a paddy field, unable to get out on its own.

On 3 Dec 2025, reporters reported that the Aranyaprathet rescue team received a notification from local residents that a female cow named "Jao Paet," located in Village No. 1, Ban Dan, Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo Province, had fallen into a drainage pipe in the middle of a paddy field and was trapped, unable to help itself. They urgently called for rescue assistance.

The owner said he has about 40 cows and was leading the herd out to graze as usual. While the cows were feeding, some ran into each other, which often happens naturally. However, this time the collision was strong enough that "Jao Paet" lost balance and fell into a fairly deep drainage pipe, unable to get out alone. He immediately sought help from nearby villagers.

Subsequently, the Eastern Aranyaprathet Snake Rescue Team along with officials from Ban Dan Subdistrict Municipality rushed to inspect the scene and coordinated the deployment of large animal rescue equipment. The rescue team had to exercise extra caution since the drainage pipe was narrow and deep. They assessed the cow’s condition before proceeding to lift it out.

The operation took a considerable amount of time. The officials worked together using ropes and equipment to slowly and carefully lift the cow to prevent further injury. Local villagers supported and encouraged the team throughout. Eventually, the rescue team successfully lifted "Jao Paet" from the pipe to the relief of the owner and community.

Initial checks found the cow was not seriously injured but was in a state of shock. The team handed the animal back to the owner for continued care.
