On 7 December 2025 GMT+7, two Thai soldiers were shot and wounded by Cambodian soldiers at Phra Lan Hin Paed Kon, Rung Subdistrict,Kantharalak District,Sisaket Province, at 14:16, which led to evacuation orders for residents along the border in four provinces, as previously reported.
The latest atmosphere at Ban Don Ao, Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province, is slightly chaotic as residents hurriedly evacuated their belongings immediately after the community leader announced the evacuation due to the unstable situation.
Residentscarried their belongings,including stored possessions such as clothing, important documents, fans, mattresses, food, and daily necessities onto vehicles, heading to shelters arranged by government agencies.
Residents said that in the afternoon, they heard news of soldiers being shot and injured but were not overly concerned since there had been frequent small-arms clashes recently without evacuation warnings. Around 15:00, when the village headman urgently ordered evacuation, they quickly loaded their belongings onto vehicles to prepare for departure, hoping this would be the last evacuation and that the situation would be decisively resolved.
